It is one of the allergies that has increased the most because it is a material that is increasingly used in the manufacture of all kinds of products, from gloves, clothing, balls and, of course, condoms. Redness and hives are the first symptoms of latex allergy, as well as vomiting.
2. Hair dyes
Some people may be allergic to so-called paraphenylenediamine (PPD), a chemical component that is mostly used in making hair dyes. The most common symptoms of this bothersome allergy are itchy, sore and swollen scalp.
3. Cosmetic products
Not only its fragrance content, maybe the cause of an allergy to cosmetics, also added preservatives that can cause irritation, redness and the appearance of skin rashes. In this case, you must stop using them. Always check that they are of quality and are not expired.
4. Perfumes
And not only the perfumes themselves, but all hygiene and beauty products that include perfumes and fragrances (wet wipes, shampoos, body lotions, soaps …) can cause contact dermatitis. In this case, opt for products made with natural oils.
5. Stretch fabrics
Some fabrics can also cause allergies, specifically fabrics that contain derivatives of formaldehyde resins, which are used to make elastic garments. Redness of the skin, swelling or the appearance of hives are the most common symptoms.
6. Nickel
Nickel is present in jewelry, for example, watches or earrings, but it can also be present in others such as belts, buttons or clasps. They do not always appear on the first contact, but over time they can cause allergic skin reactions to contact with nickel.
7. Medications
Some skin medications, such as antibiotic creams, may include in their composition the so-called neomycin, which can cause allergies. The most common symptoms are irritation and the appearance of hives in the area where we have applied the cream. It is advisable to consult the doctor.
